The prevalence of sustainability is prevalent at Arizona State right now as Bobby Hurley is orchestrating a categoric rise in the program.  On Wednesday, ASU announced a one-year extension which should help to keep Hurley in Tempe through 2023.

Hurley sees a $700,00o0 raise on July 1 which will push his base salary to $2.1 million as he will accrue a $700,000 signing bonus which is payable in 45 days upon the approval of the extension by the Arizona Board of Regents.

He also receives salary bumps on July 1, 2019 and 2020 with a $200,000 raise coming on July 1, 2021. He also gets a $1 million dollar retention bonus on July, 1, 2022.

The Sun Devils rolled to a 12-0 non-conference ledger where they maxed out at No.3 in the nation which was the program’s highest ranking in history.  Arizona State basketball has risen steadily in the three years since he has taken over and the fan-based is growing as ASU is averaging over 9,500 per game at soon to be renovated Wells Fargo Arena.

Although the Devils, have struggled some in Pac-12 play, their RPI and BPI rating is at N0. 39 with a Kenpom.com rating is at No. 28.

The Sun Devils are at Washington at 11 EST this evening on the Pac-12 Network.
