Marching to Madness, Episode 814 – Coach Tom Penders

Legendary head coach Tom Penders discusses the seasons of the Houston Cougars and the Texas Longhorns, thus far. Coach Penders led both programs during his career as he also was the head coach at Fordham, George Washington, Rhode Island, Columbia, and Tufts. He won 649 games in his coaching career and he also earned the nickname, “Turnaround Tom” as he took programs that had struggled and turned them into winners.  The Cougars have been No. 1 in the nation twice while the Longhorns have been in the Top 10 for almost all season. Coach Penders also discusses many of his ideas and philosophies inside of the game of basketball.
